Phase II of our travels has begun. My laptop went completely belly up so I am using one I bought back in the 1800's I think. It is so old the letters are mostly worn off the keyboard, so if I have any misspellings that is my excuse! Heck this thing may even have vacuum tubes in it LOL. This one is using Windows 7 so it is extremely slow! Luckily it still works. I have a new one on order and will be delivered to my daughter's where we are headed next week.
We had a great stay at Prairie Flower campground last week. We made nearly daily trips home and did laundry, made multiple batches of salsa, etc. We also got quite a bit done at the RV. We had visits from Rich and Joyce Lawrence, Rodney Thompson and Lisa; Ken Danley and his spouse. It was great to see everyone!
One of the highlights of our stay there was the opportunity to watch our grandson Calvin play in a 9U state baseball tournament. They took 4th place which is quite an accomplishment! We are very proud of him and glad we were home to see him.
This morning at 11:00 we departed Prairie Flower and headed north and east to Hoot Owl Hollow Campground just west of Dubuque IA right by the Mississippi River. We arrived here at 1527 hrs traveling 218 miles.
While here we plan to visit the Field of Dreams tomorrow plus many sites in Dubuque. Thursday my childhood friend from DeWitt IA, Ken Jackson and his spouse and my classmate Kyle Paarman Jackson plan to drive up and take us out to lunch. It will be great to see them again.
That's it for now. We are back "on the air" but barely. More tomorrow, and hopefully some pictures
