3 Jul 2022 - NSTR Last Day in Independence MO

 3 Jul

Nothing much to report.  Typical day before we travel.  We cleaned up around here and tuned into our grandson Daniel's morning baseball game.  Then we headed out to finalize our departure route and get fuel.  Normally the departure route would not be a big deal and we would handle it from Google Maps, but this campground is located right in the middle of a very old town with huge, low-hanging trees. Our RV is 13 ft 4 in tall so we have to pay attention to height and clearance.  A low-hanging tree branch can easily rip the heck out of our roof, so we have to be careful.

We found fuel for $5.199 and filled up, and then we decided to go out for lunch since we were out.  By that time our grandson's semi-final tournament started, so we tuned in while we were in the truck and then continued on into the restaurant!

This afternoon, again, nothing exciting.  We cleaned and stowed the barbecue grill, emptied/flushed our sewer tanks and watched the Cubs lose to the Red Sox.  The humidity level is really rising so it looks like some rain moving in.  Hopefully we won't be driving in rain tomorrow.

That's it for now.  Next report will be from Prairie Flower campground near Ankeny IA
