As we travel around the country we don't spend every waking moment touring and sightseeing, and you are reading about it as it happens, here. For example, this morning we hung around the campground a bit and spent some time on the computer researching the area. At the same time we had a grandson in central Iowa playing baseball and another grandson in Wisconsin playing volleyball. We were able to connect live with video and audio from the baseball game via an app called "Game Changer".
We did not have a live feed from Wisconsin but we were rooting on our grandson there via periodic text photos and video from our daughter Michelle! We are glad we can stay in touch with everyone even while traveling the USA!
We had some lunch and tuned in the University of Iowa vs South Dakota State University football game for a bit, but with the lack-luster performance of the Hawkeyes we decided to head into Jackson and check it out.
I was very surprised how narrow the streets were through Jackson. The traffic was crazy, especially downtown. We are hoping things will lighten up a bit after the Labor Day holiday. We will get more pictures in a few days.
After leaving downtown we cruised through an alternate RV park and then headed out to a local winery for a tasting. This was taken when we arrived and before we went inside. We quickly discovered they wanted $45 for Doreen and another $45 for me to do a wine tasting! That's nuts! Yeah, probably not, so we headed back to the campground. We suspect this is how our visit to Jackson Hole will go...
Back at the campground we grilled some bison burgers for dinner and then met Bill Zehner and his spouse Theresa. Bill is retired from the Air Force and they are now traveling around with their toy hauler. They depart tomorrow so it was good to meet them before they left.
Tomorrow we plan to do a sightseeing drive and we should get some good views of the mountains. Monday we have tickets for a tram that will take us from Teton Village to the top of one of the mountains.
