4 Jun 2022 - Arrived at Nashville TN

 4 Jun

What a gorgeous day traveling today from north of Lexington KY to the north edge of Nashville TN.  The sun was shining brightly, the traffic was moderate and the roads were great for the most part.

Great scenery!

Lots of rolling hills

Tennessee "Welcomes You" with road work ahead!

Rather than traveling west to Louisville and then south, we angled southwest from Lexington on 9002 and then south on I-65 at Elizabethtown.  We had to delay our departure so as to get us into the Nashville North KOA no earlier than 1400 hrs AND we had to allow for gaining an hour as we switched from Eastern Daylight Time to Central Daylight Time.

So we had 212 miles @ 4 hrs 18 minutes travel time with one potty stop and no fuel stops.  At 1418 hrs we rolled into the Nashville North KOA Journey.  They checked us in quickly and escorted us to our site.  We have a fairly long full hookup pull-through on a gravel pad with a nice grass yard for Liberty.

After setup was complete we had a late lunch and I checked the email while Doreen took Liberty out for an afternoon stroll.  There is a cute little stream that runs through here near the doggie park.

Wild holly.

Later we heard some live music from a shelter area near the swimming pool and went to investigate.  A local talent, Leigh Pollari, was performing country and western songs so we stayed for a while and enjoyed the outdoor performance!  https://leighpollari.com/

The pool looks nice but is pretty small

Leigh Pollari doing a great job!

That's about it for tonight.  We booked the KOA shuttle to downtown for Monday morning.  We saw most of the sites down there last year, so we will probably just go down and maybe have lunch and listen to so music.  Other than that, so far we don't have any firm plans here.  We will see what happens.  We will be here until Wednesday 8 Jun when we head for Memphis!
